Handmade objects, with patience and purpose.
I am Vlad, a woodturner based in Brasov, Romania. Every piece begins with a solid piece of wood and develops slowly at the lathe, guided by its grain, colour and natural character.
HOW IT STARTED
A first encounter with the lathe.
My first contact with woodturning was a YouTube video in 2018. I had never seen a lathe before, yet I could not look away. I began searching for the name of the craft, watching every process I could find and gradually learning how a simple block of wood can become a useful object.
There were many unsuccessful attempts at the beginning: catches in the wood, unexpected movements and plenty of lessons. The wish to improve kept me coming back to the workshop.
THE PERSON BEHIND THE WORK
From an IT career to the workshop.
I was born and raised in Brasov. After twelve years in Bucharest as an IT engineer, I returned home — closer to the mountains and a slower rhythm of life. What began as a way to step away from routine grew into my favourite kind of work.
The workshop is small, and the conditions are not always easy, but the care remains the same: choosing the wood, turning, sanding and finishing each piece until it feels right.

THE PROCESS
From raw wood to a finished object.
Each piece passes through the choice of wood, turning, sanding and finishing. When requested, it can also receive a personal engraving.
