Beech wood lidded box – Ryana Ciara

Beech wood lidded box.
The wood developed several cracks while drying; I repaired them with black epoxy resin. The finial is made from spalted beech from a different piece of wood and also has several black lines caused by spalting. The box is finished with three coats of polyurethane varnish for a glossy surface.

For scale, the final photograph includes a 10 cm-high, 4 cm-wide reference.
