Walnut wood lidded box – Josepha Kinsey

Walnut wood lidded box.

The wood came from a young branch, so it contains relatively little heartwood. The lid finial is made from mahogany and has a glossy finish.
The box has a semi-gloss finish made with two coats of shellac.

For scale, the final photograph includes a 10 cm-high, 4 cm-wide reference.
