Pear wood lidded box – Koda Alissa

Pear wood lidded box with black decorative details added to enliven its otherwise modest colouring. The central lines on the base were friction-burned with wire; the other black elements were painted with acrylic paint. An American walnut lid insert contrasts with the yellowish pear wood. Three coats of polyurethane varnish create a smooth, glossy finish.
