Spalted beech lidded box – Lindsey Jessy

Lidded box made from spalted beech. Fungal activity created the distinctive patterns and colours; the grain was sealed to prevent further deterioration. The exterior was treated with cyanoacrylate adhesive for a plastic-like finish. This is one of four boxes turned from the same branch.
